How Are You Making Passive Income?
Find a way to do it so you never have to worry about money again.
Famous investor Warren Buffett once said:
“If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.”
He’s got a point there. There comes a time in our lives when we have to stop trading time for money. Instead, we need to somehow make money work for us. But how?
Passive income, that’s how.
I wrote about it several months ago and its importance in our financial and everyday lives. I will ask you this again:
How are you making passive income?
Here’s how I am doing it:
1. Medium
Yes, much of the time I spend on Medium is writing. If not, nothing would be written, and you would have nothing to read. How bad would that be?
However, many of my Medium stories from the past year have gained great amounts of traction, some of them I forgot I wrote. They are making me money long after the work is done.
In other words: I’m making passive income.
It’s not take your money and run money, but it is nice to earn at least $1 a day for stories I wrote long ago. Whatever you do, keep writing on Medium and the passive income will keep coming.
2. I Self-Published Two Books on Amazon
I joined Medium in Feb. 2021. I had written several articles for the platform at this point. One thing led to another, and I got to talking to an editor in Austin, Texas.
He asked if I knew what Kindle Direct Publishing was. I told him I didn’t. Before I knew it, I began compiling some completed short stories together to make a book.
It didn’t take me too long to do so, a few days tops. In the next few days, I had self-published my first book on Amazon. How cool is that?
I won’t go into detail about how I did it. There are plenty of other articles on Medium about the process. However, I will tell you that you can do it too.
But what makes me say that? Well, I also self-published my second book on Amazon last month!
It details how a small-town bookstore helped me become friends with its elderly woman owner, thus sparking a friendship like no other. I wrote about all of this in the book. The next thing I know, it’s published too!
Now, at 22 years old, I have two published books under my belt. It brings me passive income and just another way of how I make money while I sleep.
3. Operating an eBay Business
I began my eBay business a few months ago selling the one thing I could think of I had at home and could earn money from: wrestling cards.
I’m a huge WWE fan and I have just way too many cards. So why not sell them?
It was plenty of work in the beginning, but after a few hundred cards were put up for sale, more sales began pouring in. It’s now earning passive income for work I already completed.
You can sell anything you want on eBay. Once you open your online shop, the passive income will start to pour in.
Closing Thoughts
Take these suggestions with a grain of salt. These are the ways I make passive income. You can try these methods too, or try out others.
No matter what, find a way to make money work for you.
It will make life all the more better.
