How Advanced Technology is Going To Change Our Daily Existence
We are moving into an era where technology will change the way we work, live, learn and play.
Technology is advancing at a very fast pace. New devices and technologies are moving into the mainstream at an exponential rate. And as each new and improved technology comes out, they will change the way we live.
How is our technology affecting us?
From Algorithms that tell us what we want to watch, read or listen to at any given time, to robots that can carry out tasks that were previously done by humans, technology is becoming more of a part of our daily lives.
It’s no longer a question of ‘if’ technology will eventually change the way we work, live and learn, but ‘when’.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most fast developing technologies on the planet. Although it is not currently being implemented on a large scale, there are numerous examples of it being used already in an almost hidden way.
From self-driving cars to medical technology, from software that can help in finding better treatment for cancer patients, to social media sites that we use on a daily basis — AI has infiltrated all these sectors and more.
AI is now a part of us in a way we are not always aware of. And it is growing.
However, there are a number of ethical questions and concerns surrounding the impact AI will have on society. Some people fear that it could lead to humans being replaced by robots on a large scale, while others believe it will create an unworkable, dystopian world.
A lot of people are concerned about the future use of AI, and its potential impact on people’s rights and privacy. Although these issues need more research, we must remember that technology like this could make our lives easier, but we must also understand the direction it is evolving in.
As said in a video of “The Alchemist”, there are both positive and more negative timelines to the evolution of technology.
We have to evolve with it side by side, and make sure that the increase in technology is not at the cost of human values, but instead raises our collective consciousness and the human overall experience.
Our egoistical human nature (in order to make money or gain power) should not be a factor in the future development of AI.
Why does technology advance so fast?
The reason why technology is advancing so fast is because of advancement in computers, and how we are able to build them faster than ever before. Not only that, but machines are continuing to make themselves smarter, as they become fully capable of doing many things that were previously done by humans.
Ever since the first computers were built up in the 1940s, we have been able to build bigger and better machines. The capabilities of computers keep growing year on year, and this means it will only be a matter of time before we have artificial intelligence systems that are even smarter than us.
In the coming years, we will see even more advancement in technology, as new AI systems are developed that can go beyond what has been done before. It will take us into a whole new era of human and machine interaction.
I personally work in IT and don’t think we can’t stop the advance of technology, so we should embrace it and make the most out of it in a positive and conscious way rather than to be afraid of its power.
How can we prepare for a future with advanced technology?
Although AI is a fascinating technology to watch, some people still don’t want it to exist.
As a result, there are many who believe that AI should not be developed and studied further.
I started to write this article in the hope that we can learn from the mistakes of the past. As it will only take us into a future of great technological advancement, we have to make sure that it is done as thoughtfully as possible.
Everything we do in the future will be judged by its effect on the human race. As a result, it is up to us to ensure that we use our technology in a constructive way and not as destructive or harmful.
You can use a knife to cut something, or you can use it to hurt someone; it is in the hands of the one using the tool.
The same goes for technology and AI. We shouldn’t use it for military purposes or to harm people, but to make people more conscious about their unconscious egoistical actions.
We should try to make the most of AI to help us understand better our own minds and the way we work, with the aim of heightening our consciousness; our human experience on this planet.
We can’t deny that some people are going to use technology in a negative way, so we should be aware of this and always make sure we learn from our mistakes.
We are all involved in the development of technology, and it can only lead to a more conscious and compassionate planet.
As we emerge into a future with new and improved technology, we must take the time to learn from the lessons of the past.
The power of technology is both magical and terrifying, but the key to our future will be the way we use it, and the choices we make today.
I hope that the next time you hear about AI, don’t immediately think of a dystopian reality, but rather think about a future filled with benefits and options for all of us.
