How A Green Tree Frog Symbolizes Accomplishment

Day Six of The Shortform Sprint

Twenty years ago, I had a dream of turning our suburban home into an edible paradise. More than once I thought, “if we attract green tree frogs, it will mean success.” At different times over the years, this dream had to be abandoned, unfinished.

In the past year, as the nighttime summer rains fell upon our subtropical home, a new call could be heard. With spotlights in hand, partially to avoid an unintentional meeting with a python, there was a very exciting discovery.

While the green tree frog is not mine to own, the lesson it taught me is:

Don’t wait until “when…” to start. Create what you can now, where you are, and you never know what magic you will attract!
