Summary

The author's increased output of stories on Medium, sometimes writing two or three stories in a day, led to a significant increase in views, often by tenfold, within a month.

Abstract

The author, a relatively new user on Medium, has been striving to publish one story a day based on their research and commitment to the platform. A period of inclement weather provided the author with additional time to write, resulting in a surge of productivity where they occasionally produced multiple stories in a single day. This surge in content creation correlated with a dramatic increase in daily views, which the author acknowledges is not strictly proportional to the increase in output. Although the author has not been systematically tracking the data, they are excited by the initial results and plan to monitor the correlation more closely in the future. The author shares their experience to encourage or amuse others and invites readers to subscribe to their stories and support their writing journey.

  • They see the value in subscriber engagement and offers multiple calls to action for readers to subscribe and support their work.

How a Few Extra Stories 10Xed my Views in a Month

Without feeling too much extra pressure

I just noticed this and was surprised by it.

I have only been with Medium a couple of months and, having done some due diligence, I have been gradually making myself at least TRY to complete and publish a story a day. I was convinced my progress would be sure.

Some rough weather this month gave me the opportunity to spend an extra bit of time writing. I found that after I finished a story, I was sometimes still in writing mode, and with just a little extra effort, I could turn out a second story in a much smaller amount of time.

I found I could do that a few times a week, and those extras could add up to two, and once or twice, three per day.

Of course, I couldn't do that every day yet at this point, and I haven't been measuring my results scientifically. In fact, my screenshot is embarrassingly low, but it gives me excitement and hope about action and results.

The handful of extra stories increased my views by several times (sometimes ten times) for a given day, more than it logically should. I intend in the future to keep better track of the variables to see a more valid graph, now that I know what I am looking for.

For now, this is the only one I have. It may show an idea of results, but otherwise, it’s not much.

I share it that you might be either encouraged or amused. I'm ok with the progress.

Incidentally, if you’re smart, you will let me warn you every time I publish a story, by getting on THIS LIST.
