Summary

Kira Dawn recounts a metaphorical journey through a "House of Mirrors," navigating self-deception and emerging transformed.

Abstract

In a narrative titled "House of Mirrors," Kira Dawn describes a personal odyssey through a labyrinth of 500 mirrors, each reflecting distorted versions of herself. The experience is both traumatic and enlightening, as she confronts a multitude of reflections, some heavenly and others hellish, representing various facets of her identity. Despite being left behind by a figure referred to as "the Leader," Kira perseveres, proving herself a fighter and survivor. The story concludes with Kira escaping the maze, questioning the true nature of the self she has brought back from the ordeal, and warning of the perils that lurk in the darkness of the night.

Opinions

  • The author expresses a sense of alienation from their own identity, as none of the 500 mirrors reflected the true self.
  • There is a hint of criticism towards a person or group represented by "the Leader," who abandoned Kira in her time of need.
  • The narrative suggests that self-discovery can be a lonely and challenging journey, yet it is ultimately a path to empowerment and self-acceptance.

I got lost inside of my lies.

I decided to get lost in the illusion you see. 500 different mirrors, not one of them was me.

I pondered how that could be possible, but soon moved on. It was too much for me to carry. Later I would unhinge that key that was buried.

I really was traumatized by so many reflections. Some of me yet none of me at all.

Yes. They might have represented some version of myself. Some were quite heavenly. Others were from hell.

I guess everyone thought that I had gotten into a craze. They couldn’t figure out how I figured out that delusional maze.

“One should never go alone my dear,” said the Leader. Well they decided to leave busted up Kira here.

I made it out. You bet you I did. I am a fighter a survivor. What gives?

I find it great that they think I’m alright. In a maze of 500 mirrors do you think it’s really Kira I brought home tonight?

You must beware of the darkness of the night.

THE END.
