A Sonnet

Although I peer at life through a dark glass hope elevates me above present days assures me sickness and pain will not last Hope rises above the pressures I face

My hope is my proxy that stands in lieu of future promises claimed to be mine Hope carries my bird’s eye aerial view that spans past all the boundaries of time

Hope is my elevated vantage point my view of the earth as seen from the sky Hope is my stable universal joint propelling my wings of dreams into flight

My hope is persuaded that come what may Tomorrow will be a brighter, new day
