Honey, I Made Money as a Writer

My most-read story in Medium is published in ILLUMINATION

Finally, I can say I have a viral story on Medium. But wait, before you ask me how much money are we talking about here. I have to make it clear that my most-read article earned me $50 and counting.

Chosen for Further Distribution and I Know Where to Find It

First published in October 2020, and it remains to be the top earner. This month, I will make $11 from the story, which somehow resonated with the Medium readers.

I would like to thank Dr. Mehmet Yildiz for publishing my stories in his publications. It made my writing journey easy, fun, and rewarding.

While I wish I could decode why the article has gotten Medium readers’ attention, who I suppose is my fellow writers. I will not waste time understanding the algorithm.

What is important is that I have reached a milestone, that money can be made on Medium, and the goal of making more money online becomes achievable once we break the barrier.

To me, $50 is proof that I am on the right track. While my success is personal, I hope it will encourage other writers, especially those in the ILLUMINATION family, to keep on writing.

Our writing journey is all different and personal. Money is just one of the many ways we can measure our success, but there is more.

Happiness is another form of success. As long as you are happy with the writing, keep on doing it, and life is full of surprises, and one day your dreams of success will come to you when you least expect it.
