White Lies Matter …
Honesty and Autism
The Inherent Honesty of Autism.

The very best part of me Is that of total honesty Defined as integrity In practice, a fallacy
Unaccepted socially When said literally Perceived neurotypically As truth spoken brutally
Never intentionally They really just don’t get me We differ neurologically Yet, they still think less of me
And don’t expect forgiving As truth won’t set you free Judged and convicted harshly Because I’m speaking as me
Not truth or facts or science Will change what NT perceive As white lies are truly blackened By acceptability
Inevitably, it is defeating Forced to live in secrecy We mask our reality Try to fit in socially
Mimic acting normally Act like others that you see Is the mirror reflecting The smiles of others I’ve seen?
They only know from movies And what they see on TV Not you, but Rain Man they see… A jerk from Big Bang Theory
There lies are imprisoning They’re holding the jailers keys Steadfast is my honesty Because they fear my integrity
As if to be Autistic Is a human forgery A burden on society For being incurably
The stigma needs of stymie Honesty is no mystery Just listen to the words I speak There is no hidden meaning
I’m homest totally I’m honest thoroughly I’m honest inherntly I’m honest Autistically
