Homelessness will not be ‘solved’
Because they are fundamentally useless. To the corporate world.
Let’s face it, our society in ‘the west’ is controlled, decided by and driven by consumption. Oh, and by ‘the west’ I mean mainly USA, but to a lesser extent Canada and UK (because common source)
Someone has done the calculus that has determined that we can’t pump enough money into homeless people to give them a chance to buy enough stuff off AmazMart to keep them growing so the sooner they just die off the better. They’re useless.
There’s a movement proposing UBI and I think, because I’ve seen enough ‘floater’ articles about it, that AmazMart is running the numbers. They need consumers, but they need consumers who can consume. So what portion of their profits can they put out as ‘seed money’ that will return back to them twice fold. With the right inflation rate they can probably get back a few points.
It’s kind 49/51 at the moment but I can see a day where the Corps will pay the Consumed enough so they can consume without dying.

The middle class got disappeared because they had the temerity to build up the ability to control their own lives. They could buy houses but they weren’t driven to do it as an investment. They wanted to pass it on to their children.
Well, where the fuck is a bank supposed to make money off you giving away shit?
The middle class was able to keep a stable job in an industry that paid well, without the constant pressure of ‘up or out’ or ‘downsizing’ or ‘annual 10% cutbacks’
Well, how the fuck is a company supposed to make money off you being stable?
So, real estate became an investment vehicle and not ‘a home’, jobs became ‘transactional’ because they can squeeze the pipeline whenever they need to cut costs. Workers became, basically, apps or ‘gig workers’. Use and dispose.
Fuck commitment.
So, sadly the homeless are fucked. It will cost ‘them’ too much to convert homeless to consumer.
‘They’ need their fucking growth money this quarter; don’t have time to wait for losers to catch up.
