Hollywood Of Writers

A published writing piece on the medium is more or less like a movie released. All the fates a movie could experience can be experienced by your writing piece here. As a movie sometimes becomes hit, flop, blockbuster, etc so do your writing piece.

Sometimes your writing piece can be a runaway hit, sometimes a slow hit with very fewer people attracted within initial days but sometime later becomes a huge hit.

Just like movies are advertised with the posters, so do you can promote yours with apt posters/pictures and catchy titles. Sometimes a movie will have an exciting title but the movie disappoints the audience and so do your writing piece could end up like that or not.

I believe it is cool to see your writing piece and the process behind it to be taken as no different from making a Hollywood movie. You could release it in the same feel and mood. Claps/Reads could be seen as your IMDB ratings.

One does not have to wait for anyone’s permission to release their creative works. You do not have to make a boring long piece either, you can express what you intend to express in a focused straight to the topic and yet engaging. In that sense, it is a different challenge, one has to make sure each sentence or paragraph by itself is engaging so that the user effortlessly flow on to the immediate paragraphs without feeling suffocated.

Short stories could be like short budget films but not any less in quality when compared to long stories found here. There is a lot of variety and possibilities for creators/writers to come up with their own unique styles. I see some make long nonfiction stories, some write serialized fiction, and others creating short poems, flash fictions and so a lot of varieties. And it is only that a writer needs to pick his style, not that he has to rely on one particular style, but can opt various styles that suit their current story.

Sometimes some are better conveyed as a poem than nonfiction. It is just that there are a lot of options. Even though I like creating fiction, but writing long fiction takes a lot of effort and fewer chances for people to read. In that case, one might be forced to adapt or come up with new ways of storytelling. One writer does not have to stubbornly hold on to a particular pattern of writing and here there are chances of finding new creative styles and flavors.
