Holding Space for You
A free verse poem

I’ve lost my thirst for wanting things; no longer commodified, my thirst is quenched by touch over time that drifts.
I lack the flair for giving gifts but I give you the totality of me embracing your priceless gift of you.
Jealousies dissolved with morning dew leaving not purified, but a kinder heart only knowing peace when you know joy.
What is, we cannot define or destroy not a hymn to boast, yet worthy of song transcending lower class and royalty.
I have little to say on loyalty but I will hold you as you sleep or weep or hold space for you if you need time.
