Historical Black Colleges Get Bomb Threats

Why does the color of skin enrage racist people, is inferiority their issue?

Never a day goes by that racism does not raise its ugly venom head against BPOC, Blacks, and people of color, for no reason other than the physical visible. People who are hurting, hurt other people. How do you hate whom you do not know or never have seen?

Sadly to hear that historically Black universities have received bomb threats. Bomb threats are not new to Black folks. This has been going on for ages around BPOC churches, schools, synagogues, mosques, schools, and colleges. Twice in one month, there have been threats against historically Black universities.

This is a major concern and the government needs to get off its thumbs and do something concrete to arrest such behavior. This is the time to advise the country that anit-racist acts would not be tolerated and will be punishable by the full extent of the law.

If the shoe was on the other foot, where whites were being subjected to such inhumane treatment and bomb threats, the government and FBI would not rest until the culprits are apprehended. The BPOC deserve the same treatment, their taxes are taken and applied in the community like the whites.

According to the news, about nine historically Black universities in five states and the District of Columbia received bomb threats which caused them to lockdown as a result. Spellman, Southern University, A&M College in Baton Rouge, Bowie State University in Maryland, Bethune-Cookman, Delaware State University, Albany State University, Howard are some of the targeted schools. Some of the threats were not substantiated and some universities have been cleared for re-entry.

The FBI, local law enforcement, campus police, bomb technicians, explosive-detection dogs, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives responded to the threats and are working together to investigate the culprits.

America again proves that it is not the democracy it purports to be for all as racism is so deeply embedded in its fabric and demands rectification. The fight against Critical Race theory confirms that America is in a state of heightened hypocrisy and wants to remain as such like the world doesn’t know the truth of this country.

BPOC is being subjected to racism from voting rights, equal opportunity, education, health care, covid vaccination, masks, etc., and at an alarmingly increasing rate. The past administration is partly responsible for much of the division that has led to an upswing in racist acts against BPOC.

Biden’s administration needs to institute laws putting a stop to these hate crimes. If the shoe was on the other foot, with BPOC treating whites inhumanly the outcry would force laws into action, quicker said than done. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

In January there were bomb threats to historically Black universities and now in February, Black History month, more bomb threats. These factions are trying to instill fear and control BPOC, but this is a new day and is not going to happen. As the bible stated, if you live by the sword, you will die by the sword.

In conclusion, we need anit-racist laws throughout this country for all colleges, universities, schools, homes, churches, and any institution subjected to racism, with stiff penalties of imprisonment. No more slapping on the wrist, that does not work. A slap on the wrist or looking the other way has brought America to its ugly current state. The perpetrators need to pay and be held responsible for their actions and these crimes should receive the FBI top priority. For additional reads:
