However, since ChatGPT’s peak in May, the number of users has been going down each month. This might be because it’s been the summer months when students are on vacation.
Now that schools are starting again, we’ll see if ChatGPT usage goes up.
But there’s also a report from Business Standard that says OpenAI could go bankrupt by the end of 2024 if they don’t start making a profit.

Amazon is working on improving customer reviews with generative AI. They’re testing this with some mobile shoppers in the US. They’ve added AI-generated summaries for customer reviews and buttons for common things people search for in reviews. From source.
Google has updated its search experience with AI. Now, if you hover over words, it gives you their definitions. You can also generate summaries of articles to quickly understand their content. They’ve also improved their coding capabilities. This feature is available on the Chrome iOS and Android apps, not the Chrome browser. Check the reference.
Google Photos has a new feature called Memories. It organizes your photos with the help of AI. You can relive and share memories easily. You can even rename the memories using AI-generated titles. Only available in the US for now.
OpenAI introduced a new feature for their GPT-4 API, which helps with moderation. This means communities can use AI to catch harmful content more quickly.
