The lure of mystery has spun magical whispers through my thoughts for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved the fantasy of fairy tales… how the magic unfolded and whisked me away to unknown shores.
Now, as a USA Today Bestselling Author, my brand––my mantra, Discover The Magic––evolves from that childhood passion. I love spinning tales to stir the soul through time travel, romantic suspense, mysteries, and thrillers. My goal is to WOW my readers, leaving them wanting more and, in return, readers inspire me with beautiful stars they post with their reviews.
I wasn’t aware of the marketing magic I held in my hand when I wrote my first novel…or the magical strands at my fingertips. But I knew my passion ran deeper than simply knocking out story after story to fill a backlist. Now, I see the golden threads that hid within my manuscripts without my knowledge — snippets buried beneath the surface that reveal an author’s heart and soul.
The mantra began with my first novel, Beneath The Lake, and now weaves through each story I publish. I know it sounds strange, but I write completely by the seat of my pants. I see or hear something that sparks an idea and poof––the magic begins. I never know where my stories will lead until my characters come to life, whispering secrets within my mind that unfold their destiny. They are the pixey-dust that make my stories come alive.
Every author has their own unique secret power, but few realize the golden threads they possess. Their own personal magic can increase their Internet visibility and thrust their books toward the bestseller lists.

Most people recall where they were on that fateful morning, the moment they heard a plane crashed into New York’s World Trade Center. All eyes were glued to the horrific tragedy, but New Yorkers lived the catastrophy first hand.

So, why did I write a story set in the midst of such a horrific event?
Because if we don’t remember the horrible events of the past, we are doomed to repeat our mistakes.
I have to say after watching weeks of videos on the History channel, I almost changed my mind…I simply could take no more of the visuals. Sick to my stomach from submerging myself in the terror and tragedy, I knew my research needed to end. But I felt compelled to write the story with the 911 backdrop, perhaps as a reminder…buffered by the fantasy of time travel.
Beyond the Mist is a story about steadfast love, how good people strive to honor the living and the dead, the powerful grip of guilt and memory, and the blessing of redemption––and therein lies my passion…the golden threads for the world to remember.
Though Beyond The Mist can easily stand alone, it’s better to read the series in sequence. This story opens where book one ends, and brings to life two minor characters from Beneath The Lake as my hero and heroine.

What does my story have to do with marketing my brand?
Few know the underlying inspiration for my writing, or what passion lives in the minds of authors. But when we weave that passion into our stories, our inner light reaches out to the world.
I fill my books with edge-of-your-seat suspense and thrilling rides with twists and turns you’ll never see coming. I want my stories to stir my readers imagination, but also leave them with a spark of light they’ll remember long after my story ends.
That inspiration is what I live by, my mantra, and my brand. Every story I write reflects that premise at its core. My readers come back for more and I hope I will never disappoint them.
So, ask yourself this question. What is your mantra? Why do you choose certain stories to read, watch, or write? What word describes you at the core? When you discover those answers, your brand emerges with crystal clarity. Find your golden threads and weave them through your stories.
The rest is easy. Spread the word. Tell the world about your brand and you’ll float to the top of the sea of books that litter the Internet. Ride your wave and you’ll be more visible than you ever dreamed possible.
