Hey! Will You Eat Your Live Frog With Me?
“Swallow a toad in the morning if you want to encounter nothing more disgusting the rest of the day.” — Sebastien-Roch Nicolas Chamfort (1741–1794)

The year’s just freshly launching, But my head kept on turning, In an endless 360 degrees; Amid these monstrous tasks onwards, Where do I dwell on always?
My writing muse keeps on wailing, My Medium fans are eagerly waiting, (yay) But my day time job keeps on popping!
Muttering and claiming, “You have countless chores ahead; Reports, yearly targets, endless paper works, a lot of unfinished businesses, dear!”
Finish all of those firstly, And I will give you the chance To beat your ass off, Do you copy?
My egoic self answers, adorable poppy eyes appealing, “But I feel lazy still, Want to chill out and distress a bit more and watch Netflix, go on strolling, or perhaps could I go on vacay mode more, do listen.
Besides, I feel overwhelmed, Every single day, I wish I could quit, My weekday post soon So I could endlessly Write from this day on.
My muse definitely retorts back; You can do it I trust you, For you are not alone, It's normal to procrastinate as it is of human nature, a vice that we've been struggling for centuries.
Akrasia or acracy from the ancient Greeks, A moral weakness where you act against your better judgment; Remember you cannot quit just now, As you have no other, financial resources whatsoever.
Focus on consuming your “biggest frog” indeed, As it will be your most significant, the tho’ hated and dreary huge feat, I have taught you before, remember? And do the last thing you love most thereafter.
But I can’t swallow a live toad like that, can you?
My goodness! What I mean to say, is trying to tackle the most project you have, that is, the most valuable, billowing task you’d rather ignore. your future self would be most grateful for.
I know what to do, in no time, but, Can you give me just a little bit of space? Just to go on breathing, please.
I just wanna wish, I could devote greater chance this year to my penning further, Than being a frontliner; Please, Will you grant my bid?
Then, organize, make a list, or even make a mind map, break them into chunks, you’ll soon find out your dreaded aim is just made up of small steps, that can be marked off bite by bite.
I know the starting point for you, is the hardest, so how can you make it shorter and easier? Why not do as what do chefs do.
Try mise en place where you “put everything in place” It's less of keeping your spot tidy, but more on prepping yourself habitually, the tools, info, and all that surrounds you, to set forth easily and wrap chores amazingly.
Additionally, having an accountable team or buddy to remind you, of the thing, you wanna beat soon, or moreover, use temptation bundling as James Clear says;
Pair your favorite stuff, with the duty, you are procrastinating, soon you’ll find it easy to begin, stay focused and yes, all your live frogs will be, voraciously eaten.
Thanks so much for dropping by. I missed writing really. Hoping to be with you more. Stay well always.
