Hey Abbott, Glad To Hear The U.S. Supreme Court Just Issues Suggestions
Women of Texas, time to go to town on this
By Elaine Gilmartin

Apparently, for Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Supreme Court rulings are no different than a buffet line at a cheap restaurant. Pick the crap you want, leave the crap you don’t.
Texas governor ignores Supreme Court ruling, adds more razor wire to border
So you say Texas is being invaded.
You say the federal government is not protecting your state and so you will take matters into your own hands.
Your opinion supersedes the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision as you assert it is harming your state. The Supreme Court made an oopsie. Wouldn’t be the first.
Hmm. Okay, then let’s go with this.
Girls and women are routinely being invaded by rapists, they are not being protected, and then if impregnated and seeking an abortion, can be hunted down for $10,000 bounty, money that would seem much better suited for maternal and infant care resources. But nah, let’s give that money to some idiot man with a gun.
…”in a lengthy statement, Abbott is reiterating arguments he’s cited before, asserting that the federal government has fallen short of its constitutional duties to protect the southern border.”
What about the federal government’s constitutional duties to protect the female half of its population? Especially from extremist, non law-abiding governors?
Abbott is quoted as saying, “Rape is a crime, and Texas will work tirelessly to make sure we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets. So goal no. 1 in the state of Texas is to eliminate rape so that no woman, no person, will be a victim of rape.”
However, under Abbott, Texas leads the nation in rape offenses while the rate of arrests for rape has fallen by nearly half. If that is goal number one, it would then seem he is possibly the least effective person to hold that office in the history of the state.
So if the failing, non law-abiding governor of Texas has deemed Supreme Court rulings as mere guidelines at best, then I say it’s time for the women and girls of Texas and anyone who loves and respects them to stand up to the tyranny of this extremist state government.
Abbott openly flouts the law but has no compunction using it as a cudgel against the autonomy and dignity of half its populace. Unless we want our rights treated as capriciously as one’s choices in a buffet line, then we must take collective, radical action, something the French seem to do rather well.
And the French don’t do buffet lines. Declasse.
