Here’s Why Nobody Responds to Your LinkedIn DMs.

Fact: when you start using LinkedIn to reach out to people for informational interviews, you will be ignored.

But you don’t need everyone to respond to you.

You just need one person to say yes to you.

Here are some other key points to remember:

✅ people have real-life responsibilities other than LinkedIn. Give grace if they don’t respond immediately or at all.

✅ sometimes people come with a laundry list of requests. This can be overwhelming. Ask 1–2 of your most pressing questions and follow up later.

✅ if the person has content — a website, podcast, YouTube etc, — search there to see if you will find answers to your questions first.

✅ provide value to the other person where and if you can, before you ask for a favor.
