Here’s What You Missed

Because silence doesn’t speak

I might have just told you. But then you wouldn’t be surprised to learn what was going on.

Quietly, I endured being ignored as you were right there by my side. Being together was a long legal fiction that was read with interest by no one.

But in my silence I was becoming a goddess who would create a new universe from the ashes of destruction we never saw coming.

So you could not have known I would rearrange the cosmos to suit myself after I was finally alone.
