Here’s What the Rich Do That Most People Don’t!
It Takes A Certain Mindset To Be A Creator Of Extreme Wealth.
You hear a lot lately from people on this platform who talk about content creation. They throw pitches about YouTube channels, writing an article a day, starting your own website, or about affiliate marketing. Same stuff!
Yet, many people dive into these endeavors, and then suddenly lose their mojo. Their inspiration. Their drive. The reason? They hit a roadblock. It’s tougher than the writer or YouTuber said it was. It seems incredibly hard.
Truth: It Can Be! And a good 90% of people don’t have what it takes!
I’m here to provide you in this short article some very valuable information that, if used correctly, should ensure you a lifetime of success.
Let’s begin!
So, I know two extremely wealthy guys. We are talking mind-numbing wealth if you heard the figures. One mentors me personally as best he can with the running of my eBay store. He tells me where I’m screwing up. He yells at me if I don’t listen. His favorite sentence is, “I’ve told you this before, Steve.” He tells me if he can save one person from having to work a 9–5, then he will leave this world better than he found it. Amazing guy!
The one above, his name is Mike. Everybody always refers to him as “eBay Mike”. He knows many people who call upon him for his expertise. He quit an engineering job that paid $140k per year…to do eBay! He told me that he hit the ground running with eBay, because he HAD to replace that $140k/yr income. Not only that, but he told me he has never slowed down or stopped, and has never lost his “mojo”.
Mike dresses sharp, and can be quite the arrogant prick! You can tell he’s wealthy. Just one of those things. Some show it, and some don’t.
Now, let’s talk about my other friend. His name is Ralph. He’s overweight, his hair is always a mess. He looks dirty, just like he rolled out of bed and stumbled on about the day. You’d never know this guy was rich. Never!
He’s been doing it for years. Just what I do. Reselling. He shows up to every estate sale I’m at. Always looking mainly for sterling silver, but also keeps an eye out for other things. Today, I saw him when I went to an estate sale this morning. Fine dressed citizens standing in line waiting for 10am to strike, so they can be let into this fabulous estate sale. He came walking past them cuz he knows me. People gawked at him as he walked by like, “Who’s the bum?”.
So this “bum” stands there and begins to tell me he saw a lot of silver that he was interested in, and he’d probably wind up spending about $1000 just on silver, but that he was going to look at other stuff, too. He told me at the last estate sale he scored an entire large box full of costume jewelry. 1500 pieces, in fact! Bought them for $1 each! He said he took all that jewelry to a flea market and sold each piece for $5, because it’s worth that. Do the math.
He said it was extremely nice looking, well-made costume jewelry. I told him that I had never pegged him to be one to consider costume jewelry! He said, “Listen man, you know me! I always primarily come for the silver, but then sometimes I buy “junk”! (he chuckled). If something decent is $1, and I know I can double or triple my money, I’m going to buy it. So yes, I look for the extra cheap stuff. Everybody else is looking for the $15–25 items, trying to make $30-40! I buy cheap, and in quantity, and run circles around them all!”
Before the door opened for us to go in as we were standing in line, he gave me some additional advice after I told him that I had just lost my “mojo” this month. Didn’t feel like posting much or going to many sales. He gave me such sound advice that I have also heard from Mike that I will state it below so that you AND I can focus on it and wrap our minds around it.
He said:
“ Steve, every estate sale you come to that’s worth anything, you’ve seen me at! Haven’t you?! (gave a slight grin) I don’t quit, man! Every….single….week, I am going to go to at least 6 estate sales! I don’t listen to, or hang out with, negative people. I stay busy, have my mind on making money, and I never take it off that. People that make money in this world never stop putting in the hours. If you are going to be in business for yourself, then you have got to put in the overtime just like you would at a 9–5! If your business, or your eBay in your case is slow, then you haven’t lost your damn mojo man. You aren’t trying hard enough! You’re taking too many breaks. Wasting too much time sitting there being idle. I’m tired as hell at the end of each week, because I work!”
After he told me that, I actually did see where I was a bit lazy this past week! There had been quite a number of things I could have done to increase my sales for the week, but I chose not to. It was a choice I made.
Mike has told me similar. He goes to estate sales, and also buys from online auction sites for resale. He’s asked me plenty of times, “Steve, how many estate sales did you go to this week?” To keep me on my toes. I will usually tell him 2 or 3. Mike tells me he does AT LEAST 4 estate sales per week in person, and that’s on top of buying various things from online auctions.
The ironic thing about those two individuals is that both of them never stop going, going, going! They put in the hours, and they are both rolling in money. Know what else is ironic that you may have noticed?
— Those YouTubers that post videos who are wealthy post them constantly!
— Writers on Medium who make money on this platform write constantly!
— People like Mike and Ralph who resell, they buy…buy…buy constantly!
— Elon Musk, the billionaire, has slept on his factory floor! Works 100+hr weeks. He hates being “bored”. He works constantly!
— The great Steve Jobs of Apple did it, too! Worked 100+hr weeks!
— Sitting on the sofa, idle and bored, & saying you lack mojo is a choice!
— The really wealthy people in this world rarely take a day off.
So, there essentially is your blueprint for being an extreme wealth builder!
Let’s summarize!
- They do not mix well with, or mingle with, negative thinking people!
- Their business income replaces their 9–5 income — PLUS more!
- You will rarely hear them say they “lack mojo”, or are bored!
- They LOVE what it is that they do. Heavily involved in it. Driven!
- They never stop putting in the hours for whatever makes them money!
- Every waking moment, except family time, needs to be on business!
- Be friends with, and aspire to be like the wealthiest people you know!
