Launching a monthly writer’s challenge, writer of the month and a newsletter

Starting September 2020, we are excited to launch a few new initiatives at The Collector.

Theme Based Monthly Writing Challenge

Starting September, we are launching a theme-based monthly writing challenge. The aim is to challenge our writers to put together well-researched stories that focus on a specific theme.

As you know, The Collector is a publication that aims at curating voices from writers in the field of History, Politics, Feminism, Racism, and LGBTQ. At the beginning of each month, we would announce the theme for the writing challenge.

Featured Writer of the Month

We are also launching a special featured page for the writer of the month on our main page.

The featured page will feature all stories from the top writer for the month and bragging right of course!

The featured writer would be determined by the editors based on a couple of factors —

• Writing consistently on a specific issue or topics • Through and detailed analysis in the articles • Standard formatting and styling for article • Usage and citation of references • Use of relevant image with sources • Finally, most importantly, provides value to the reader

The featured writer page would be updated 1st of every month from September 2020 onwards.

Weekly Newsletter — The Collector’s Digest

If you haven't already, please do subscribe to our weekly newsletter that features the crème de la crème of the articles of the week with editorial commentary. The newsletter is called The Collector’s Digest.
