Abstract

/figure>
One of my favorite bands growing up was the Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP) because of the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication. Both of these albums will always touch my soul deeply: Blood Sugar was released in the same year I was born; Californication was my first taste of exploring “Around the World” which has become the single-most important aspect of my life. And I’m so happy that people can still see a RHCP concert, because I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them twice! Now that Fruciante is back in the band, no one should miss out on the opportunity to see them live! I’ve been really digging two of their new songs: She’s A Lover and Heavy Wing. Two of the best songs I’ve heard in recent years.

I’ve also come to the conclusion that, the song “Been Caught Stealin’” and “Jane Says” are two of the most underrated songs from the 80s-90s era transition bands. Here’s The Music I’ve Been Listening To…

I was inspired to put this compilation of tunes together after reading Five Practically Perfect in Every Way Classic Rock Albums which was produced by Kathy Copeland Padden. She writes for the Medium pub Rock n’Heavy — Stories That Rock Your World!

In the content, Kathy wrote: “The following albums are among the reasons why the term ‘classic rock’ was invented. They harken back to a magical era when Rock hit its stride in a way that some feel hasn’t happened since.”

Well, for me, I had to go through my selections on YouTube. Please check out what I’ve been listening to!

For you World Music lovers out there — I got a good one for you here! I just discovered this or else I would’ve already shared this one a long time ago. I went to this place where Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are performing the song “City Don’t Cry”. It is a desert city called Marrakech. This is a great example of what life is all about in Morocco, as well as the famous cultural musical style of Gnawa.

They should stand out as two of the best songs of that decade, regardless of music genre. Janes’ Addiction is currently on tour as well, along with former RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

Physical Graffiti has become one of my favorite rock albums recently. I used to think Electric Ladyland was the best album for me, but I guess since Electric Ladyland is too much of a ’60s album, I have wore it out. Physical Graffiti adapts through the years, although both of those albums incorporate World Music themes which is why they stand above the rest.

Lastly, I’ve been listening to a new band called Liquify. They are an instrumental band, but I’m hesitant to put a genre on their sound. All of their songs are short and to the point which I like for all instrumentals. They’ve got some heavy guitar and hip hop drum beats. Good Stuff. I even was inspired by the band’s album “Lost in Time” to write about Glencore & BHP Group Diverge On Net-Zero Commodities For A Sustainable Future Lost in Time.

I sincerely wish that you enjoy my musical tastes as much as I do!
