and make it as regular as brushing your teeth…

The last time we got together I wrote about how to stop creating the “same-old-same-old” content. Check it out here if you missed it!

Today we’re going to take a look at how to make repurposing your content as regular as brushing your teeth.

My Main Repurposing Rule

All my students and members know this Main Repurposing Rule:

“After publishing, you are not done with your content creation until you have repurposed it at least once (twice is better).”

This tip alone will extend your reach, bring you more traffic, grow your audience, and give you more content to turn into products.

Not bad for just one tip. And there’s more!

Now let’s dive into 3 quick ways to repurpose your content:

  1. When you publish on Medium.com you’ll want to take advantage of “repurposing heaven.” As soon as you hit publish on Medium a box pops up that allows you to repurpose the same content to your Facebook Profile, Groups, Pages, and Events, then Twitter and LinkedIn. Once you’ve done this a few times, it will only take about 5 minutes. Great ROI on your time. This is not duplicate content, it’s repurposing. Big difference…
  2. When you create “chunk content” (example in yesterday’s article where I use the “STOP!” Genius Template) you can then separately repurpose each chunk. For example, if you create 3 mistakes and what to do instead, you can take each mistake and post it separately on the socials. So now you have 3 more repurposings from just one piece of content.
  3. Turn one of those “chunks” into a short TikTok video or longer YouTube video. Start off the video with the viral lead in “Here’s how you’re going to [niche outcome]” Notice I used that viral lead in as the title of this article. If you’ve offered 3 chunks of information you can easily repurpose into 3 videos. Even 3 more repurposings from just one piece of content.

Welcome to repurposing heaven!
