Here’s How to Harness Your Inner Powers by Strengthening Your Bond With The Heart

Be. Don’t try to become. — Osho

My friend’s business partner was shocked to know I had left dentistry. He asked, “Don’t you want to start it again?”

My words were, “If it is meant to be, it will happen. If not, it won’t.”

“But without your effort, how will it happen?”

I was silent. Not because I didn’t want to explain. But because of the lack of words.

Living through the heart has its benefits and drawbacks.

I live intuitively. But many people know only logic. And logic can barely understand the heart.

And also, many times, words leave me without warning. I sat there silently, where he explained how important it was to act and not expect.

I listened attentively.

When I got back home, viola, the thoughts came back. I could figure out the answer in words.

Next meeting, when the topic arose again, I had my answer, “I never thought I’d write for a living. But it is happening. Right? Did I ever plan it? No. It transpired. One thing led to the other. The same will happen if I’ve to do something. It will happen.”

He was confused. Being a business owner and task-oriented, the mind will think that the other is crazy or just lazy.

But will that change how I function? Definitely not.

Was I able to convince him of my style of living? No.

But encounters like these open my eyes to how the mind gets easily stuck in patterns and can’t think outside their habitual thinking.

That is why most times, I prefer silence. Because, more than proving myself right, it is important to be in harmony with myself.

It happens when you are in tune with your heart.

Since early life, I’ve lived on the rules of the heart. Yes, pain happened, but so did the profound learnings. A deeply satisfying life unfolds each moment.

Control Suffocates the Life Flowing in The ‘Now’

I’m a Reiki grandmaster. But I hardly use Reiki now. It doesn’t mean I have not seen the miraculous power of Reiki.

But I now realize that everything is happening on its own. It does not need my intervention to change things. And when my help is needed, I feel deeply inspired or moved from within, or it happens automatically, even without me being aware.

It might seem magical. But it happens all the time if you keep your mind open.

A stranger might solve your problem miraculously. A chance encounter during travel may change your viewpoint about something. An old connection might transform your life.

The possibilities are endless if you become open to life. Control suffocates life. But staying true to yourself opens magical doors.

Many people can’t afford to be out of control. A small change in plan, a disagreement, or even a weather change or heavy traffic sends them shockwaves.

The mind wants to control. The outcomes, the situations.

Being in control or rules gives you a fake sense of power. And when you can’t manage things, it makes you anxious, frustrated, and fearful.

Whereas when you live in harmony with life, control disappears. Because then you deeply trust life. Even in hard times, you don’t accuse life. You live with complete surrender and acceptance.

That does not mean you won’t try to change things. You may try. But that attempt also comes with great reverence and without expectations.

If you want to live in the present, accepting things as they are is the shortest method of doing so. Let go of things to embrace what is.

The Whimsical Difference Between Mind And Heart

We are more than a billion people on the planet. Each one is unique. Habits, thinking processes, and personality.

But one thing that binds every person or species is ‘life.’

Precious life is within each being. The life that does not separate. That life does not differentiate.

Have you ever felt a pull toward certain people, places, or conversations?

It is because underneath, we all are connected. But the connection gets lost when we try to prove ourselves.

The ego destroys the connection. Then you want exclusivity, priority, and popularity.

But life dormant within you knows and experiences the oneness. However, the mind is always scared.

What if the other ransacks your image, money, or name?

With fear, life becomes a heavy load to carry.

Whereas the heart accepts the other with open arms. There remains no need to defend or remain suspicious. Only love flows. Life flows.

Life Blossoms When You Know and Understand Your Heart

The fight between heart and mind is eons old. The mind seeks security and prestige. The heart seeks satisfaction and solace.

Many times, people ask, “Why is life difficult?”

I almost always answer,

“Life is not difficult. You forget yourself when you want to prove yourself in the mindless race of the world. You ignore your heart when you want to lie like others. It may give you a sense of security, but you lose authenticity.

Pay attention to your heart. Listen to it. Because when you become daring enough to act upon what your heart wants, life becomes simple. It might not remain easy, but it will become simple.”

The survival desire is raw. Our ancestors grew up in groups, which we now call societies. But, with time, dependency turned into competition. Leadership into politics.

The one thing that remains the same is ‘heart.’ It is still full of love and care.

The heart is the seat of unadulterated life flowing within you.

Once you acknowledge the purity of the heart, you start to drift away from fakeness toward genuineness. You then allow life to come forward and take control.

Effortless living happens when you start to live from the heart.

Your calendar is not full of plans and execution. Then intuitive living happens.

True surrender and acceptance make your life an easy and joyful experience. You embrace every person and every situation without complaint. Life becomes a true blessing.

Final Thoughts

Give yourself a chance to live genuinely. It might be hard at the start. But connect with your heart to make the process easy.

Find out what you want and how you want to live. Because when you know, nobody can stop you from experiencing life that is always blissful.

Don’t ask what the steps are; there is only one step. The process is very simple. The step is only one: that is turning in. — Osho
