Here is a summary of my experiences during the year 2022:

1. I traveled to six countries — Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia — visiting over 100 cities and places like Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Machu Picchu, Cusco, La Paz, Salento, and Medellin.
2. I learned two languages — Portuguese and Spanish — and reached a communicative level (B2) in Spanish.
3. I made many friends and had romantic encounters with over 40 girls from these countries.
4. I also focused on improving my fitness and guitar playing skills.

Accommodation accounted for half of my expenses

It’s not surprising since I stayed in my own apartment 80% of the time instead of opting for shared dormitories in hostels. This allowed me to connect with local women on a deeper level, making privacy important to me. Consequently, I didn’t worry about saving money on accommodation.

The total cost of accommodation was roughly 6,000 USD based on today’s exchange rate. This amount is quite low considering that it may not even cover one month’s rent in some parts of the world, let alone a short-term rental for nearly an entire year.

Here’s a tip on finding short-term and affordable accommodations.

Grocery expenses ranked second highest.

This is mainly due to my focus on fitness, as I prefer cooking my own meals at home to eat healthier and save money.

I always look for budget grocery stores , like D1 in Colombia and avoid larger, more expensive supermarkets.

The total grocery cost was approximately 1,820 USD today, averaging about 140 USD per month. I only ate out when traveling or socializing with others.

Traveling expenses came in third place.

Since I visited six countries and more than 100 cities and places, traveling was a significant part of my adventure. In total, I spent less 1,000 USD, on travel expenses.

Here are some tips to keep travel costs low:

1. opt for long-distance couch instead of flights.
2. Staying overnight on a couch also saves on accommodation costs.

Food and drinks ranked fourth

Accounting for only 6% of my total spending.

This is mainly because I don’t drink alcohol, smoke, or use drugs, which saves me a lot of money and helps me avoid negative situations.

Besides,I only dine out with friends for social reasons.

Lastly, in South America, eating out is relatively cheaper compared to China or Australia.

Dating is essential to me as a form of entertainment and adventure

Roughly around 720 USD was spent on dating.

Considering I dated so many girls (3 digits) and had intimate encounters with more than 40 of them, the average cost per encounter was impressively low.

Here are some tips from my experience:

1. For the first meeting, whether online or in person, I prefer going to a decent and quiet café for a drink, coffee, or tea. It reduces costs in terms of money and time.
2. I only reward a dinner date after a girl has proven to provide high-quality sex companionship.
3. Learning to cook well and inviting girls to have dinner at home also reduces the cost of fancy restaurants yet enhances the romantic atmosphere.

Shopping and entertainment each accounted for 4% of my total spending.

Unfortunately, I had to buy things from time to time as part of the traveling experience. I lost or broke items such as electric toothbrushes, chargers, shoes, earbuds, and worn-out clothing. However, I generally avoided buying clothes unless necessary.

Of course, it was important to visit famous tourist attractions and attend classic events during my travels. I visited places like Machu Picchu in Peru, Salta de Jujuy in Argentina, and Guatape in Colombia. Entertainment mainly referred to the entry fees for various tourist attractions like Machu Picchu.

Transportation

Transportation expenses covered the cost of getting around within a city or place using public buses, metros, or taxis. Long-distance bus was considered a travel expense and not listed separately.

I only spent approximately 450 USD on transportation for the year because I made an effort to learn how to use public transport locally instead of relying on Uber all the time, as some tourists do. Also try cheaper ride-sharing apps like InDrive or 99 instead of Uber or taxis.

Beauty and Heath

These expenses included essential items like condoms (always use them), haircut fees to maintain a fresh appearance, and commonly used medicines when needed.

House utilities

mainly referred to cell phone data expenses. I typically chose the cheapest plan with minimal internet access since I only needed data for essential purposes like calling a taxi. I didn’t use data to browse TikTok or engage in online activities. This decision was not about saving money but rather about prioritizing a life beyond the internet.

Now you may wonder how much did it cost for all of these experience in one year ?

The answer is less than 14, 000 USD a year. Surprising ?

In total, my spending for 2022 was only approximately 12,180 USD. This amount is significantly less than most might think and I planed, especially considering the quality of life I experienced, the adventures I had, and the memorable stories that unfolded.

Thus, I believe that most people can afford this kind of lifestyle financially, but many are unable to do so due to limitations on the freedom to travel.

这一点并不奇怪，因为80%的时间我都住在自己的公寓里，很少去住青年旅舍的合住宿舍。因为我想要更深入地了解当地的女孩，所以对我来说隐私很重要，因此我并不会在住宿费上省钱。

住宿费用总共是44000人民币，根据今天的汇率约合6000美元。考虑到在某些地方这可能连一个月的房租都不够，更别说一年的短期租赁了。

这主要是因为我注重健身，所以更喜欢自己在家做饭，吃得更健康也更便宜。

此外，我总是去当地的经济型杂货店购买食物，比如哥伦比亚的D1，避免去大型或豪华超市。

总的杂货费用是13000人民币，约等于1820美元，每个月大约1000人民币。只有在旅行或和别人一起社交时才会外出就餐。

旅行费用排名第三

因为我去了六个国家和100多个城市和景点，所以旅行是我冒险经历的重要部分。总的来说，我在旅行费用上花费不到7000人民币，约合1000美元。

以下是一些节省旅行费用的小贴士：

• 尽量选择长途汽车而不是坐飞机, 以节省行李费用。
• 同时，在长途车上过夜还能省下住宿费用。

美容和健康

这些费用包括必要的项目，如购买避孕套（一定要用！）、理发费以保持整洁的形象，以及需要时购买的常用药品。

水电开销

主要指手机流量费用。通常我只选择最便宜的套餐，几乎没有上网流量。因为我只需要流量用于叫出租车等重要事情，而不会用它来看抖音这些在线视频。这不是为了省钱，而是因为我有着真正的生活。
