Here’s How much I made Writing for 2 Months on Medium

I joined Medium on 24th November 2022. Since then, I have been documenting my growth on the platform and sharing everything that I have learned openly on the platform. I love the transparency and the ability to help other writers who are like me just starting out.

So now that January is over, I will be sharing what I’ve learned, what are some updates I have on Medium, and finally, the most exciting part for you guys is how much I have made writing on Medium.

Older Content Keeps Paying Me!

While Medium rewards new content that are up to 48 hours old, some of my older content which was way back in November is still paying me for my writing. Although not much($0.01 ~$0.50), I’m still happy that I am constantly getting paid for my article.

What I am Doing

I have a goal to publish 1,500 articles on Medium, which is at least 4 articles a day. I know, pretty crazy!

But I am now working as an editor of HustleVentureSG, my publication which now has over 30 different writers sharing their take on personal finance and side hustle.

I spend most of my time on Medium checking the articles and publishing on our main website(hustleventuresg.com) to promote all our writer's work for FREE. From 40 minutes of view time, we have now crossed over to 150 minutes of view time. How many Articles I published in January

More than 100 articles, each article has an average read time of 3.5 minutes which is roughly 500~750 words. So that's about 50,000 to 75,000 words in total. More than 30 of them are personal growth related, 10 are content writing, 10 are publication purposes, and the rest are about personal finance and side hustle for the HustleVentureSG webpage.

How much I made

For about 2 months’ worth of writing, I have made more than $100 with January coming in at $52.45. The reason why my earning hasn’t increased much is the content that I publish. I spend most of my time posting and creating response post to target my audience and focus on building a loyal followers.

Here is my audience stats, as you can see, my followers almost doubled since December and my subscriber has also increased by 6 members.

Was it Worth It?

Definitely! The audience on Medium is really great! My account is mainly used to grow HustleVentureSG main webpage and we have been growing at an exponential rate. I will keep working hard to promote more content on personal finance and side hustle so that we writers can help one another make more money. Cheers!🤗
