No, not “The Rapture.”

I don’t think the disappearance of the Medium.com writers was a holy event. If we readers (and writer-readers) were the “left behinds,” we would be seeing Kirk Cameron saying, “Hot dog! This episode is the sixth sequel.”

Here’s my hunch:

Those bogus Medium.com accounts, like all the big, stinky faker Jason Provencio accounts that wanted to seize JPro’s online presence are responsible for this epidemic.

A spam filter trapping innocent writers? Not likely.

I think the online pod people decided to body-snatch bloggers.

Are those authentic writers really returning? Check their writer profiles carefully. Remember, those plant-like parasites were emotionless clones. Possible predecessors of AI. Don’t be fooled.

Keep talking and writing about this mass disappearance, friends. In the 1956 movie, those pod people got fed up with all the determined opposition. In fact, they fled and left some of their own kind here on earth.

In this Medium episode of body-snatching, the remaining pretenders will last here (online) only a short time. The awareness of the populace will stop the alien frauds from surviving or thriving.

Like in the movie, our missing writer favorites were just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Keep hope!
