Here Again (a poem)
Poetry Writing Contest response

I’m here again. Standing mute, watching the world go by, unseen and untouched. Yearning, deafened by internal keening.
You’re there again. Living overwhelmed, drowning in your own stuff, unseeing and untouching. Languishing, defeated by internal expectations.
Our souls meet again. Reaching stubbornly, anticipating one free breath, connected and together. delighting in external promise.
