It’s not that we have 10 yrs to act, it’s that we must act NOW to HALVE our emissions in 10–12 yrs if we are to halt AGW [global warming] at mostly survivable levels.

About us:

Footprint to Wings is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is turning the race to Zero Carbon into a national pastime and coaching each state to win. Literally.

Note on the org chart that “NCL” stands for “National Carbon League.” The framework for the Race to Zero Carbon is inspired by the NFL, an organization that has mastered “National Pastime Technology.” We’ll be drawing a lot from the NFL operations playbook. Because it works.

What We Are Looking For Now:

We’re searching for the talent, partnership and sponsorship to achieve an extraordinary, unprecedented mission. We need people who:

• Are passionate about this mission. Passionate about going ALL THE WAY to zero carbon and beyond, as soon as possible.
• Are awake to the urgency. Know that if we don’t hit the “decarbonize by 2040” target, we’re toast.
• Are specifically passionate about this “National Pastime” approach. Love the game.
• Have a particular skill set. Here are some of the attributes we are looking for in a Board candidate.
• Are inclusive. The game is for all players, all plays, as long as they can really go the distance (evidence based, measurable, achievable plays that your fellow citizens will actually get behind). Red State solutions ❤️, Blue State solutions 💙, wild card solutions 🃏 are all possible. We want to unlock everyone’s potential. Blow past the polarization in the country. Re-channel that “tribal” energy into a 50 state race to zero carbon. Bring out the best in everyone. Celebrate and invigorate everyone’s potential.
• Are Solutions Oriented. There are a lot of people spending good energy to convince others that climate change is real. What we are looking for is people who are prepared to candidly grapple with the solutions. Solution aversion, solution exploration, solution execution.

But remember, there’s a lot at stake. This is a real life and death game. The home planet is counting on us. Team Earth is floundering. We need to unlock maximum potential FAST.
