Help Me Solve This Unsolved Mystery? Nowism
Oh my, the words of the day and please and thank-you in advance for your thoughts

I am a tad freaked out in this Nowism, have got to say. This is not satire, this is what just happened in my most recent Nowism. Looking for thoughts, ideas, comfort. Ha. Okay, so it’s not some grand complicated twist of a mystery, but it is a freaky mystery nonetheless, a freaky mystery.
I am freaked out.
And I so need some other minds on this one. Presently, my legs have that beautiful thank you for getting me out and about feeling. I am sitting at my desk, otherwise known as bed, with the pink weighted blanket as a prop up for the computer. I am a tad freaked out, have I said that?
I just got back from the walk around my neighborhood, sometimes I go right, sometimes I go left — usually depending on the position of the sun. I like to walk towards the sun.
Today I went left. It’s a lovely, not frigid day and if anyone was wearing shorts, I wouldn’t have shivered. But the beginning of the walk did leave me with a bit of the shivers.
Frankly, I’m still trying to figure this one out. Help a sister with a freaky mystery…Scooby-Doo where are you?
So, in order to understand, here is the setting.
My house has a front lawn, like most American homes, and to the left and right of it are a few tree beings, where it’s a sort of a buffer zone. Because no one really knows where their property lines are, so if there are trees, the leaves stay there.
But I’m guessing if the property lines were officially where our neighbors on the left are, they would have had their landscapers pick up every leaf in that area.
Joy of Winter — no fucking leafblowers.
Because I have seen those guys blow around dirt and one leaf, no joke. That house has no leaves, none. Our neighbors must not love us so much sometimes, because really I want to keep the leaves through the winter as a covering for all the little animal beings when the snow comes. Then get them in the Spring.
Ahh the Spring, I am ready for you Spring! C’mon down.
Anyway I digress, so as I do, I take pictures of whatever catches my eye in whatever now I am in. I happened to stop by the edge of the lawn where there are those few trees that are right by the edge of the street.
Now mind you, it’s not some back street off in the boonies. People use this street as a thru way. Granted it’s not a main street to Funtown, but there’s traffic through here and no sidewalks. So you have to be aware because people fly by here. Especially in this spot I’m standing by, it’s just to the left of my house. If I look out the front door I can see this exact spot easily.
I am still a little weirded out. I can see this spot from the bedroom window as I write this Nowism.
So, I am starting my walk and the sun is beaming down on my face and I stop for a few nows to feel her glory. Sun how I have missed you! And I begin my walk on the road.
I look up, I look down, I look to see wherever the beauty is, and my eye catches something. One of these things is not like the other.
It’s a dried hydrangea flower, which holy fuck I just realized are the bushes in front of my house. On either side of the steps are these hydrangea bushes, which still have a few of these dried flowers attached.
Holy fuck.
Oh my goodness does this mean someone might have taken one of these dried flowers from there and created this?
Sorry, am still a little freaked out right now, so thought I’d write it all down. Processing and this just added a new layer to the Nowism. I am also well aware of the plant beings in my neighborhood. I have taken many pictures along my regular walk. There’s just not flowers close by to here. Just ours.
Oh my….
Okay, so I look down and see a dried hydrangea flower, which yeah for sure could have blown into the spot by the tree and street. The rest of this creation though didn’t just blow in, no way.
People come around that corner of the road so quickly, and without a sidewalk, well creating this would be dangerous. Unless it was done at night.
Oh my…
But I am standing there and realize, it’s not just a flower. It’s a flower with pieces of almost sliced wood surrounding it, some pieces of wood in a sort of triangle, with no bark, with a few small branches on top and an acorn right in the middle of this…gift? Symbol? Offering? Alter?
I love witches yes they are wonderful.
It took quite some time to put this thing together I’d say a good ten minutes to gather this and create. Unless they had these pieces in a bag or something.
I can see someone doing this along a trail in the woods. Creating some art with nature getting in their moment, but on the side of the road in front of my house, well it’s weird.
Right? It’s weird?
I am trying to figure out some explanation. No parent would let their child collect all this on the side of this road and make it. And that wood, that wood comes from cutting it.
So what? Why? Please help me understand. Thoughts? Feelings? Jokes?
My Nowism needs a bit of levity. Granted it’s a cool looking thing, but just thinking of someone putting this together outside of my house was freaky enough. But realizing the flower could be from the bushes on my front lawn and they aren’t close to the street.
Oh my…
I have so many questions.
Any ideas?
Aliens?
Witches? You are wonderful. Ha.
Pagan offerings?
Some moon ritual?
Anyone know of any stick and flower holidays I am missing?
Is it freak out Jenny day?
Has the rando who secretly camped out in my backyard twenty years ago returned?
It’s just so weird.
Shall I just think of it as a gift and move past this?
Is this weird?
Has anyone else had something like this show up at their house?
Is this some new tik tok trend I know nothing of? Let’s Blair Witch people. Am I a part of the new Blair Witch movie? I haven’t even showered yet today BW crew! Hope you got my good side.
Want to see what this thing looks like in it’s full offering?
Tell me what vibes you get from this, please. From the photos I shared with my beautiful people there wasn’t much of oh, that’s just a pile of leaves. It was more along the lines of what the fuck is that? Well, besides D, she thought it was birds. Some talented birds I tell ya.
Here it is, in my freaked out Nowism. Someone please solve this unsolved mystery or write a story that helps it makes sense? Ha please and thank you in this Nowism!
