Hello Globetrotters!

First of all, I want to thank JoAnn, Adrienne, Anne, and Gerald for bringing me into the Globetrotters fold! I am so excited to be an editor for this fast-growing and exciting travel publication here on Medium!

Although my full name is Jillian, as you can see in my profile, I do prefer to be called Jill, but I will pretty much answer to anything:)

A little about myself.

I was born in Banff, Alberta, Canada in 1976. Banff is one of the top tourist destinations in Canada, and Banff National Park is Canada’s first national park. So even at a young age, I understood the concept of tourists and the draw of world-class destinations.

Travel has been a constant in my life almost from day one. My parents took me to England when I was just 10 months old to visit my paternal grandparents, and I flew on my first solo flight at the age of 4 to visit my maternal grandmother (only an hour’s flight) to stay with her for a summer while my parents traveled around China (1981).
