Heavy

It’s just wrong to not speak about it. If even one person can be helped, it will all be worth it.

Linkin Park’s song “Heavy” hit me hard. It felt like the lyrics were describing my own pain and hopelessness at that time.

Now knowing it came from a place of real struggle, I wondered why nobody saw Chester Bennington’s pain. Could his death have been prevented?

I felt the same way back then, feeling so heavy and yearning for someone to understand my struggles, but no one did.

Thankfully, I managed to get to the emergency room at one dawn. If I hadn’t, things could have been different.

I wish people could be more caring and observant. If you see someone hurting and don’t try to help, and they end their life, can you really live with yourself?

Even seven years later, “Heavy” still triggers me. It brings back those emotions, and I can’t listen to it in public without crying. So, I’d avoid it.

This is inspired by the said song.
