Heartbreak Rides
A mini poetry collection

Beautiful Go
(Poem#1)
A heart for an Instagram girl
When can you come pick it up?
I get it.
You’re a Rockstar
Breaking hearts on the go
I get it.
Paralyzing emotions
I’m stuck
Feeling for you
The only time I do feel
Is when I’m feeling for you
Numb to any other type of feelings
I bleed out my wrist
For you
I don’t care about me
If you don’t care about me
This is crazy
This is true
This is what your images
Do for me
Caged Bird
(Poem#2)
My lack of inspiration
Comes from seeing you
Only once a week
Intriguing me
Since yesterday’s yesterday
I was a nobody
Looking for efforts
From another
Who shared my same interest
Who loves a nobody?
I’m sure there’s a somebody
Who can set me free from my cage
Because I
Am a bird
That sacrificed my wings
For your attention
But I’d settle
For a glance by accident
For a chance you’d hear
The chirp from my weak voice
Since I’ve been
Screaming your name
Moments In Time
(Poem#3)
You took her from me
Though I probably won’t miss her
What’s a person
Without a name?
A moment.
She could’ve been my phase
Another number
Seven digits
Behind a heart
I guess that’s why I suspected
She would care
Every secret I told her
I swear
She’s going to use it against me
I swear
She’s gonna run off with my hurt
And she might even come back
When you’re done with her
And I might take her back
To get me through these trust issues
Six A.M
She’s up with me
Six A.M
She’s pretending to care
Sidekick
(Poem#4)
Seeing myself
From the sideline
I’m a coward
To my former prime
My own shadow
Has overshadowed me
Things Ending, Better Things Beginning
(Poem#5)
Don’t wait for me
I’m changing attitudes
I’m off the rail
Using self pity
As my only excuse
And it’s overused
I’m dealing with
Some personal stuff
I’m burning pictures
Of me and you
I’m too old
To be lashing out
But I still do
Hoping this will be
The last time
Because I met
Someone new
She saved me
In the darkest of allies
When you were robbing me
Using love as an excuse
Crawling into bed with me
You controlled me
I never used you
In any way
Though you controlled me
In every way
You can not puppet me
Anymore
She tells me yes
Where you’ve told me no
I’m so happy
I’m not turning back
Reach out for me
But I’m not reaching back
