Heart Throbbing Dreams

Heart Throbbing Dreams Sweating restless sleep Distant past intruders People now unknown Apparitions long gone Time’s burning embers.
Why have they come Invaders in dark night In otherwise sound sleep Disturbing juxtapositions Like other worldly ghosts Haunting my resting spirit.
I know they cannot be real Even if once known by me Exiting my life so long ago No conscious thoughts of them Why haunting presences come Now in heart throbbing dreams.
