Health
#21 of 31 days of May SCWBI Challenge- A Haiku for you

Health is energy
Abundance for life choices
The ultimate wealth
Health is the abundance of energy. Balance. Mind, body and spirit.
All living things are energy.
Energy flows to us from water, food, sunlight, sleep, connection and thoughts.
Thoughts are things.
The energy flows from us when we play, create, think, connect and even how show up in our day. The emotions we feel vibrate energy into the world.
A few snippets I have picked up along my journey so far about balancing my energy
- “Eat a rainbow of food everyday” – Nancy Marley aka Mum. Make sure it is whole food- ie food that can rot.
- Food contains differing amounts of life energy. Calories are not all equal.
- Food is medicine. Medicine is food.
- Water has memory. Humans are mostly water. Swirl water before drinking it to activate it’s energy.
- Add action and movement any possible way everyday.
- Clear the mental baggage everyday. Breathe deep, meditate, spotto the positive, surf, dance, sing, play an instrument, walk, watch the sky, plant bare feet on the dirt, laugh, hug, hit a punching bag… whatever it is that grounds and centres.
- Be aware of my sovereign space. Listen and empathise, connect but don’t attach. Take on only what is in my control.
- If my cup of energy is overflowing, only then am I truly able to help others.
I am always learning and practicing how to balance my health. Step by step, clarity of the way, gifts energy to my day and life and everyone I encounter.
Thanks for being you.

If I have missed any others that have been prompted by this challenge in the last day, I apologise…please give me a nudge and I will add them to the next prompt. At the conclusion of the challenge I will create an index to all the rippling treasures this prompt uncovered.
“Health” – today’s prompt from the 31 days of May challenge being run by SCBWI West (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) …if anybody feels like participating, join in as you please.
