Healing Hand, Be Healed

An American cinquain

The idea I have for this poem is for it to be kept in the palm of your hand as a personal instructional reminder. We all need to tell ourselves these words from time-to-time — and sometimes more often.

An American cinquain is a five-line poem created by American poet, Adelaide Crepsey, with a syllable/line structure of 2–4–6–8–2 worked in iambic (da-DUM) meter.

This is my first attempt at this form of poetry. What do you think?

Here is one by William J Spirdione, A Chickadee Choir

and another by Kimberly Hampton Nilsson, We Pray

Each of these American cinquains is part of the wonderful catalogue of poetry that is being compiled for Paper Poetry’s Poemorama celebration of National Poetry Month -

Inviting some more of our Paper Poetry family to join the celebration — Toni Crowe | Thalia Dunn | Neera Handa Dr | Tracy Busby | Lilie Kaizen 🙏 ✨

Thank you all for reading. 🙏 💕
