Opinions

  • Robo finds the name "Robo" too robotic and is drawn to names that reflect a love for cooking and a softer identity, such as "Robolina" or "Ume."
  • Fish, who doesn't often venture into the sea, prefers a name that suggests a connection to the land, like "LandLover," which Robo humorously notes sounds like a car brand.
  • Shakutori, initially considering names that play on the idea of being stepped on, ultimately favors "Bon Don Seh," a name that carries a sense of elegance and movement.
  • The characters' name choices are influenced by their interests and personalities, indicating a desire for self-expression and transformation.
  • The story conveys a light-hearted and imaginative atmosphere, with the characters' playful banter and creative name explorations reflecting their camaraderie and individuality.

Conversation in the Car — About Their New Names

Previously, they all came to the concrete space where the car was parked. And Buddy was ready to jump in.

They are now on the road.

“Hey, Robo, what if you can change your name, what would you name yourself? I see your car with U on the handle and the front of this car.”

“Yeah, I was thinking, Robo is too Robotic. I can go with Robolina. Or, Ume…is that a too Umami-like name? I love cooking though.”

“How about U-tantan?”

“That sounds cute.” Fish said.

“Yap. That sounds like you.” Shakutori said.

“Really!? I’ll think about it.” Robo checked the room mirror and changed the lane.

“How about you, Fish?” Buddy asked.

“I always intrigued by a name ending with -cova. So, Fishcova.”

Everyone laughed.

“I mean I don’t go into the sea often, and I love the land. Can I go with LandLover?”

Robo giggled. “That sounds like a car brand.”

Shakutori also giggled while searching for something in his tiny car.

“And you, Shakutori.”

“Me? I like my name Shakutori, but if I were to change my name… Don’t Step on Me… Don Se Me.”

“Oh, no. That sounds so….”

“I know, too real. Sad.”

“How about Bon Don Seh, like a good dancer in French.”

“Wooo!! I like that!” He popped his head out of his tiny car sitting in the cupholder.

After driving along the coast, Robo drove up a hill.

It was a beautiful sunset. Buddy and Fish fully enjoyed the view and fresh air from the forest while Robo was droving slowly behind the man.
