He Who Would Be Tyrant First Presents Himself as a Protector
Does Trump have to shoot someone on Fifth Ave. before he loses his following?

To say that Trump is a liar and cheat who will do anything to stay in Office. his ‘get out of jail’ free card, his biggest scam ever, is nothing not already known.
Afraid of hurting the economy, his ticket to reelection, he ignored the Corona virus that he knew would be bad, worse than the worst of influenza, he said, to keep the Stock Market up and when it began to fall, anyway, he had the Federal Reserve print tens of billions of dollars to buy corporate bonds and give the Market another boost, a ‘sugar high’, all while over one-hundred ninety-six thousand people died and the number of dead grows by the day.
He will not even wear a mask, which would give his supporters ‘permission’ to do but he just does not care.

Trump admitted in the summary of a phone call, not a ‘transcript’ as he claimed, to an impeachable offence. In that call he told the new Ukrainian President that he would hold up Congressionally approved money to buy weapons while Ukraine was in a hot war with Russia unless the new Ukrainian President would “do him a favor”. Classic mob talk.
Trump had mentioned he would like to see an investigation into Hunter Biden and his connection with Gazprom so it was clear that he wanted the new Prosecutor to open an investigation into his presumed, now official, contender’s son, (even though Hunter Biden had already been cleared by investigation of any wrongdoing) and that Ukraine’s President publicly announce it.
Trump was impeached for doing that, but the Senate pre-determined his innocence, no witnesses allowed, and he continues to commit impeachable offences. He knows that if the Senate is controlled by the Republicans, he can do anything he wants, consequence free.
And a second term of Trump does not bode well for Americans or for the entire world.
When his artificially inflated Stock Market from the 2017 tax cut sugar high began its inevitable drop with the rise of SARS Corona CoV2 and its impact on his chances of reelection, something that is usually a given for incumbent Presidents, he began to sow doubts about the integrity of the upcoming election and claimed that voting by mail was rife with fraud in an election the virus has a great many people afraid to vote in-person.
Then he got his own newly appointed Postmaster Donor, uh, General, DeJoy. DeJoy restructured the Postal Service governing structure to concentrate most of the power on himself then removed public mailboxes and worse, removed high speed mail sorting machines that process thousands of pieces of mail per hour. The sorting machines were dismantled and put into storage.
The official reason for their removal was that were needed in other Post Offices but if that were true, they would not be sitting in warehouses. Postmaster DeJoy refuses to return the mail sorting machines to the Post Offices from which they were taken. And, for the first time, ballots will no longer be handled as First Class Mail which could mean many ballots will not arrive in time to be counted.
He also eliminated overtime for Postal workers that ensured all mail was delivered on time. Voter suppression because Republicans know that when more people vote, they cannot win.

Republican-controlled states continued massive voter purges and reduced the number of Polling locations, particularly in inner city areas that are more likely to vote for Democrats. Kentucky alone removed three-thousand five hundred polling places, leaving only two hundred for the entire state.
In Jefferson County, Kentucky, where almost half of all Blacks in Kentucky live and includes the city of Louisville, now has only a single polling location for more than six-hundred sixteen thousand registered voters.
Not every voter has transportation to get to that one location to cast their ballot and those who do will face crowding and an long wait in line, just to exercise their Constitutional right to vote.
Voter suppression because Republicans know that when more people vote, they cannot win.
Florida decided just this month to overturn a voter passed referendum that allowed ex-felons the right to vote and they cannot vote in November’s election, quite a suspicious ‘last minute’ change of voting status for 1.4 million ex-felons who may be more likely to vote Democratic rather than Republican.
That decision was first blocked in Federal Court in Tallahassee but then overridden by an Appeals Court stacked with Trump-appointed judges. It is no coincidence that Trump must win Florida to be reelected.
Voter suppression because Republicans know that when more people vote, they cannot win.
Trump is right about one thing, though: there is massive voting fraud being carried out but by Republicans for Republicans and especially for the new Party-in-power, the Trump Party, previously known as the Republican Party.
He put people in charge of regulatory agencies whose private sector jobs were to attempt to destroy those same agencies. The term ‘Climate Change’ is banned from use in any official report from any government agency and he continues to eviscerate laws that have slowly improved the climate, the biosphere upon we all depend, in favor of subsidies and tax cuts for the fossil fuel industry.
He sees ‘clean’ energy as ‘clean coal’, an oxymoron, rather than solar and wind power. He opened coastal waters to offshore drilling- apart from Republican-friendly Florida coasts.
The coal industry is dying whereas the clean energy sector already employs approximately five times more people than the coal industry, with better paying, safer, and cleaner jobs. Jobs with a future and that do not involve mountaintop stripping, poisoning of streams (since, thanks to Trump, companies are again allowed to dump mine tailings into the creeks and rivers in mountain valleys).
Clean water and air is for ‘losers’; a little brain damage and cancer in small dying towns is okay as long as fossil fuel companies can increase their profits and keep shareholders happy.

He insults Gold Star families, knows more about war than his generals and says nothing about the bounties Russia has for any Taliban member who kills an American soldier.
When finally forced to address the issue, he said he asked his friend, Putin, about it and Putin denies it so Trump believes him again over the findings of his own Intelligence agencies. Trump cares no more for the lives of military members than he does about any American. Other than his wealthy donors and, perhaps, his own family members.
Huge cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are proposed in his 2021 budget. Medicare benefits with be reduced and the Social Security Disability fund will run out of money within eleven months.
Then Social Security retirement benefits will see the first ever cuts. A major part of his base depends on those programs but ignore any ‘fake news’ msm warnings because all media outlets lie. Except Fox news and extreme right-wing radio personalities. Radicals of the right.
Trump presented himself as a savior to a lot of people, a protector against all things socialist. And they will reliably blame the Democrats because they are socialists and want anarchy in the streets.
Republicans say the cuts are required to reduce the $1.5 trillion deficit created by the $1.5 trillion tax cut, of which 80% went to the already rich and big business, must be paid for somehow. And as always happens, the rich and big businesses did not use the money to create jobs. Companies bought back their own stock to increase its value so their wealthy shareholders would have more money.
Trump claims to knows more about science than do scientists and has a ‘knack’ for medicine so why trust doctors and researchers? ‘Science’ is bad and like the media, it cannot be trusted.
Climate change is a Chinese hoax that Democrats use to hurt him. He knows it is a hoax because his uncle studied at Wharton, a very good school and told him about the nuclear, how powerful it is, no one knew that until he brought it up and it is more powerful than anyone could have ever imagined.
And Trump went to Wharton, too, “a really good school, most people don’t know that, but it is a, a really good school”. But you cannot see his transcripts from Wharton nor those from his high school because he sued and forced them to not release the transcripts. It is amazing how useful lawyers and money can be at keeping potentially embarrassing facts hidden.
Ignore the man behind the curtain, the illusionist. Trump only wants what is best for all good Americans, especially the gun-toting white supremacist, Nazi types. They are fine people only trying to save the true Americans from the radical, socialist left Democrats who will do anything to take away their God-given Rights.
If Democrats win, they will come for your guns, and they already prevent you from practicing your religion. They will not even allow you to go to church, like a lot of people might get a virus or something. And remember that no one could say “Merry Christmas” until he fought the ‘War on Christmas’ and won.
He is always ‘winning’.
He presented himself as our Protector, so he is ‘protecting’ all good Americans.
We are winning his trade war with China, even though it has put many farmers out of business, but like COVID deaths, it is an acceptable number.
But China is not paying the US imposed tariffs any more than Mexico is paying for his excuse of a border security plan, his big, beautiful Wall. Americans pay for those things. Well, not everything made in China is subject to tariffs. Ivanka Trump’s China-made product lines are all tariff-free.
With nearly half-a-million people expected to die from COVID by the end of the year and those deaths continuing, Ivanka might introduce a new, tariff-free product line: Coffins by Ivanka™, for the discriminating buyer.
Trump has repeatedly promised to repeal the ACA and replace it with his better, more affordable plan to provide more people better care while keeping coverage for those with pre-existing conditions. And that plan will be released soon, in two weeks.
Trump’s go-to phrase when he has no plan. That ‘two weeks’ never comes but no one notices because some other distraction he creates fills the news cycle.
Russia is again doing everything it can to get Trump reelected while seeding doubt about the entire democratic system, just as Trump himself has called on Russia, re. Vladimir Putin, to do.
Trump has enriched himself at taxpayer expense, spent almost as many days golfing as he has in the White House and golfs at his own resorts with taxpayer’s footing the bill for him and the cost of rooms for his Secret Service, yet some who supporters admire him because he doesn’t take his Presidential salary. Why would he take his half a million or so dollar salary when he has spent nearly one-hundred-ninety years’ worth of a President’s salary on golfing while padding the Trump Foundation’s finances? Foreign diplomats, dignitaries, and businesspeople stay in his new Washington hotel so that they can be close to the White House.
He calls himself the ‘law and order’ President but has peaceful, daytime protestors teargassed to clear a path for him to the church across the street for a photo op where he held the Bible upside down.
A true law and order President would address the underlying cause of the nationwide protests, but Trump merely talks tough and blames Democratic Mayors and Governors and raises the threat of Federal troops being sent in to take over by force when the use of undue force is at the root of many of society’s problems.
Trump prefers to wield an axe on the symptoms when a scalpel is needed to excise the tumor. A cure by scalpel is better than an axe to symptoms because without being cured the symptoms will continue to recur.
No US President has ever gotten away with Trump’s desecration of Constitutional norms nor would have even attempted to do the same. Even ‘I am not a crook’ Nixon did not go as far as Trump. Trump makes the Presidency of G. W. Bush with the wars and economic crash look like ‘the good old days’. And that shows what a sad state Trump has put this country in.
Does Trump have to literally shoot someone on Fifth Avenue before he loses his following?
Although at this point, I am not sure even that would be enough.
I have written about Trump and November’s election before, as have many writers, and I hold out hope that my “fable” below gets its happy ending.
As always, Hope abides…
And a Blue Tsunami November is needed so that no doubt is left when all the ballots have been counted.
