He had lived for many years in his own little world. He liked to have it like that; it was calm, safe.

But one day he discovers that he is the last living person in the neighbourhood The Milky Way.

One day it dawned on him that great changes had taken place in the neighbourhood and in the wider world. He decides to try to find out what has happened, packs things into the car and starts driving.

Somewhere on the road he sees a woman standing on the side of the road, and he stops next to her. They are two strangers who set out on a journey to rediscover the world, a world where great changes have taken place that they are only guessing the consequences of.
