Have You Thanked Your Editor?

Knowledge, time, and love go into each of your posts

I am so humbled by Medium editors. I don’t know how they do it.

I know why they do it.

For love.

Being an editor can bring more attention to your profile, increase views, and bring in some income, but I know that’s not why they do it. At least not the editors I know.

The first person who invited me to their publication was Katie Michaelson from the Daily Cuppa. I think everyone at Thank You Notes must know Katie.

I have so much gratitude for the wisdom she shares. She edits and shares my simple, humble work. I’m a toddler, stumbling around, trying to find my way through the world of words and blogging. She always has a nugget of advice that leads to a little ‘aha’ moment.

Katie even said in one of her comments:

Does this make sense? I usually give this kind of feedback on the phone.

The phone?

She is full of heart and experience and you can tell she loves what she does, even though it’s a lot of work.

I know there are many more of you, but I wanted to thank you — Katie, for being of service. For helping me grow, sharing my work, introducing me to other writers, and for creating such a beautiful little publication.

And thank you Trista for publishing this, and creating such a sweet publication — dedicated to gratitude.

Who has helped you grow your writing?

Go on — thank your editors!
