I don’t know if you’ve heard of the new 100 challenge.

The 100 followers challenge consists of people follow per follow others and the goal is to apply to the Medium Partner Program.

PLEASE DON’T DO THIS CHALLENGE.

In the long run, this challenge is useless.

Medium is all about creating a community of readers and friends who enjoy reading and writing articles, not following people just because they want to hit 100 so they can apply for Medium Partner.

If these people’s goal is just to make easy money, start by giving up because easy money on Medium doesn’t exist.

The other day I was scrolling on Medium and I saw loads of people joining this challenge which is horrible because it goes against everything Medium stands for.

Even the CEO of Medium came to say that he regrets this challenge and with good reason.
