Have You Been Infiltrated by AI Bots On Medium?
Nefarious profiles popping up everywhere
Since the start of February, I have received many new followers and email subscribers.
While successful writers might not get excited about this, it was a big deal for me. But, then I noticed something strange… their email addresses were almost the same.
Additionally, these new followers subscribed without reading any of my articles which raised my suspicions even further.
Curious to know more about these new subscribers, I clicked on their profiles and discovered that they all had one thing in common. They all had a medium handle that included the name everydayexplorer.
These profiles are generating 30–40 articles a day. This is not humanly possible.
This is what we’re up against. We must fight for our rights.
Breaking into Medium can be challenging even in the best of times, with the added hurdle of low-quality AI-generated content further saturating the platform.
Please if you come across these profiles, report and block them. Perhaps Medium should consider limiting the amount of articles a user can post in a day. What do you think? I’d love to know your thoughts.
