Hard vs. Soft Skills
Before you attempt to learn a skill, figure out if it's a hard or soft skill
Hard skills require high precision that should be repeated over and over again, like a golf swing or a worker on an assembly line. Hard skills require neurons in the brain to fire consistently. Learn to respect and prioritize them because they are more valuable in the long run. They also take more time to build and depend on deep practice.
Hard skills require ABCs: Always Be Consistent.
Soft skills require high flexibility that is broader and less specialized like a stock trader spotting a hidden opportunity or a CEO reading a room during a negotiation. They need you to play and explore complex and ever-changing environments.
Soft skills require the Three Rs: Reading, Recognizing, and Reacting.
