Summary

The poem "Happy Go With the Flow Thursday" reflects on a day that deviated from its original plan due to unexpected events, leading to personal growth and acceptance of life's unpredictability.

Abstract

The narrative begins with the author waking up with a well-thought-out plan for the day, only to have it disrupted by a series of unforeseen circumstances. The day's events took a turn when the caregiver for the author's mother had an accident, forcing the author to stay home and care for their mother. The change in routine and the mother's unusual behavior added to the stress, but through self-reflection and a shift in perspective, the author managed to overcome the initial disappointment and sadness. The poem conveys a message of resilience, advocating for adaptability and finding peace in the face of life's unpredictable nature. It concludes with the author embracing the day's events, learning to make the best out of the situation, and accepting that sometimes, life has its own agenda.

Awoke this morning with a perfect plan for the day as one plan unfold, others followed the day was nothing like planned stress almost took me over had to fight against self desire my new reality out of my hands no caregiver for mother caregiver had an accident thirty minutes before my departure sought a caregiver, no one to be found my work day became a stay at home day disappointment set in, felt a bit sad mother ‘s behavior was strange almost stressed me beyond my limit had to do some serious self talk to regain my good mental state took a deep breath, looked at the brighter side planned a new plan, move on with my day learned a lesson, life has a mind of its own best to go with it when it happens save time not being stressed and sad as they say, make lemonade with the lemons.
