Summary

Erika Burkhalter celebrates her cat Uma Zooma Angelwings' eighth birthday with a birthday bash, including toys and tuna, despite Uma's indifference to her birthday crown.

Abstract

Today marks the eighth birthday of Uma Zooma Angelwings, Erika Burkhalter's beloved cat, which is being celebrated with a festive birthday party featuring an array of new toys and treats. While Uma was not particularly fond of wearing her birthday crown, she thoroughly enjoyed a special luncheon of pole-caught tuna. The day also acknowledges the memory of Uma's late brother, Emerson, with an emphasis on love and happiness rather than sadness. The celebration will include Uma's brother Bisou and another cat, Freyja, with special arrangements made to keep the peace between the siblings. Burkhalter, a yogi, neurophilosopher, and cat-mom, captures these moments to share her love for nature and her pets, inviting readers to subscribe to her stories for future updates.

Opinions

  • Uma's expression suggests that she did not appreciate the birthday crown, finding it excessive.
  • The cat's preference for tuna over the birthday crown is humorously noted.
  • There is a hint of sibling rivalry as Uma is uncertain about her brother Bisou attending the party, especially after he sniffed her new fish toy.
  • The author feels that despite the loss of Uma's brother Emerson, it is important to focus on the positive and celebrate love and happiness.

Happy Birthday Miss Uma Zooma Angelwings

Uma’s eighth birthday: Six Word Freestyle Photo Challenge

Uma prefers tuna to birthday crowns

My little Uma Zooma Angelwings turned eight-years-old today. We’re planning a birthday bash with lots of new kicky toys, tunnels, and play things tonight. But, in the meantime, I thought she might want to try on her birthday crown.

Can you tell by her expression that the crown was not a big hit?

Regal as she may be, apparently, the crown was just a touch too much.

But she really enjoyed the pole-caught tuna served for luncheon.

She’s not certain she wants her brother, Bisou, to come to the party. They’ve been bickering a bit all morning. She really wasn’t too sure that it was OK for him to smell her new fish toy (it is filled with silver vine and catnip). Bisou did get his own rainbow kick toy, too, by the way. It’s good to spread the love.

We’re missing Uma’s brother, Emerson, whose birthday was also today. But we’re focusing more on spreading love and happiness today, than sadness.

And I think that once it all gets going, we’re going to have a really nice kitty party tonight for Uma, Bisou and Freyja.
