This magical vitamin is “BIOTIN” which is safe no matter how it is consumed either in food or in the form of a supplement.

This article is not for promoting any kind of product, I am just sharing my personal experience and my view about how “Biotin” worked for me.

What is Biotin?

Biotin is also called Vitamin H ( which mainly represents hair) and skin and nails to some extent.

Biotin deficiency can cause hair thinning which results in hair loss, brittle fingernails, and skin rash typically on the face.

- My experience of Hair loss and How biotin worked for me?

I was struggling with hair loss due to dandruff for one year, I tried everything but nothing worked for me. A dermatologist suggested an anti-dandruff shampoo which helped me to get rid of dandruff but the hair thinning and hair loss problem remained constant for me.

One day one of my friends suggested to me about biotin and a doctor told me that it is completely safe to take biotin supplements because there is still no evidence of any kind of casualty caused by biotin supplement.

You can also include biotin-rich foods to your diet, but biotin supplements are also completely safe.

Some of the biotin-rich foods are,

  1. Egg yolk
  2. Yeast
  3. Nuts and seeds
  4. Salmon
  5. Milk, Cheese, and Yogurt
  6. Avocados
  7. Sweet Potatoes
  8. Broccoli

Fish is believed to be a rich source of biotin but I am not fond of seafood since my childhood so most of the foods didn’t work for me.

- Let me tell you about my story that how I came to know that I am suffering from biotin deficiency

I was actually suffering from “seborrheic dermatitis” ( a skin condition which mainly affects your scalp and causes scaly patches, red skin, and stubborn dandruff) and it also affects the oily areas of your body, such as the face, sides of the nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids, and chest. My doctor told me that Biotin deficiency is also the main reason for Dermatitis which forced me to research about the other symptoms of biotin deficiency and then I came to know that most of the problems I was facing were due to severe biotin deficiency because Dermatitis, conjunctivitis, and Hair fall only occur when deficiency becomes more severe.

These are the problems that I faced due to Biotin deficiency.

  1. Dry eyes
  2. Brittle hair resulted in excessive Hair Loss
  3. Fatigue
  4. Insomnia
  5. A little depression
  6. Cracking sounds in the corner of the mouth
  7. Difficulty in walking

If you are dealing with any other kind of health condition like pregnancy you must consult a doctor before use.

A main thing is that “Biotin never works in Hereditary hair loss or Male Pattern baldness because these problems are genetic and hormonal and biotin as a vitamin can not resolve it and Biotin only works for people suffering from Biotin deficiency”.

“ It is very important to consult a doctor before using any kind of supplements”.
