We feline pussycats know a lot about this thing called love

Even though many say we love ourselves — when push comes to shove

But deep down we have a deep love that is quite divine

Even though we don’t celebrate the day you call Valentine

Because in fact we celebrate love each and every day

Are you not aware that we stare at you all day hey hey

And we watch over you for hours — when you are fast asleep

And kill the bugs and snakes when they wriggle near you or just creep

And snuggle up beside you to keep you warm

And distract you with our play when you feel forlorn

And we don’t really nag at you much at all — or blow a horn

Just a few meow requests for breakfast at the crack of dawn

Yes we have no need for valentine chocolate gifts or flowers

But yes we love fresh sardines to nibble on for hours

And there is no need for you to get a haircut or dress to the nines

You see we are quite low maintenance when it comes to Valentines

But we know you humans make a big deal about this special V Day

Where some if not many boys go broke spending all their pay

So here is a declaration from Lady Donga Pussycat — yes that’s me

Herein I declare my everlasting love to my human — Seaspray D

He has always treated me with the highest loving distinction

In fact many times he saved me from death and near extinction

This love of course is reciprocal it’s a two-way street

I too have saved his life — there’s no need to be discreet

Yes we pussycats are the human comforter sent from heaven above

So on this day we offer all you dear readers peace and eternal love

Yes Seaspray D and I offer these words to you for such little pay
