Abstract

Gray

A poem about today

Photo, K.Barrett, author

Today was a gray day Your texture caught my eye

I’m not sure how that happened Your color matched the sky

If it was bright and sunny And the sky wasn’t blackened

Like the days before, I would have walked right by Today your texture caught my eye

I wanted a closer look, I walked over your way I wasn’t feeling fuzzy on this gray day

You brought some joy, I must say In your gray way
