Gratefulness Is The Foundation Of Happiness
But sometimes practicing gratitude can be hard.

We can easily obsess for hours about what we don’t have which only magnifies worry and anxiety. If we just take a few minutes to acknowledge what we do have we can reduce the amount of worry and anxiety that plague us.
There are two main things to always be grateful for:
- Today be thankful for time. Time is priceless. You never know how much of it you have left so just enjoy the seconds you have been blessed with.
- Today be thankful for life. You woke up. Some weren’t as fortunate.
It’s not always easy.
It’s not always easy to feel grateful in the moment, even if you know that you have much to be grateful for. Sometimes our feelings consume us to the point that it’s hard to think.
It’s natural to have feelings that are on the other side of the rainbow. To feel sad, depressed, and just downright bad sometimes is normal. Bad feelings exist and no amount of ignoring them is going to make them disappear.
Allow yourself to feel and then concentrate on your blessings.
When we steer our thoughts to things we have to be grateful for our feelings shift too. It takes feelings and emotions to a better place.
At the end of the day, we all have problems. We all have wants and needs. Remember, you may not have everything you want but be grateful for the things you do have.
“When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow.”-Shauna Niequist
