I started exercising in the last ten days. Then, suddenly, I got demotivated and stopped. Last month, I also started running with my full energy, but again, I stopped running after only ten days.

My performance at my workplace could have been more encouraging for the last three months. Writing is my all-time passion, but most of my stories remain in draft and do not move into the published zone.

If I make a graph of my life, it will look like a graph of F&O Trading with rustical ups & downs. But why?

The only answer is my Procrastinationa problem with no medication available. Then came a day in my life that I consider a life-changing day. One of my Bosses gifted me a book.

There, I got a few techniques to hack my Procrastination. In this book, words are simple; sentences are simple. The book is so simple that it will be easy for any familiar reader to understand. This book has changed my life and given me a new direction.

The name of this book is, ‘Do It Today’ by Darius Foroux. In this story, I will share all these techniques to hack Procrastination and what I learned from this book. I am sharing because I know you are not productive in your life because of this Procrastination.

So, please be with me till the end of this story. I guarantee that after reading this story, you will break the first block of your Procrastination. I will have a request for all of you at the end of this story, and I hope that, as my genuine reader, you will take care of that.

What an impact this book has had on my life!

I am tracking my time: Darius says we are not productive due to procrastination. And to kill procrastination, we must track our time for at least two weeks. Now I don’t know which are my time wasters. So, as Darius said, I started to track my time by creating a daily activity log. Look at my activity log in the below picture.

An image from the Author’s gallery shows the author’s activity of the day.

This activity log helps me to identify the time wasters and eliminate those from my daily life. I track my each and every time.

My Evening Rituals: I have added two rules in my life as Evening Rituals. In the evening, I do two things.

First, I journal my day in my diary. I journal my activities in a few sentences, like what I have achieved today, any success, where I have failed, anything to remember always, etc. It may look funny, but Darius says it helps to track our progress.

Second, I close my day by setting up tomorrow’s priorities. It includes what I will do tomorrow and when I will do it. It also contains any important tasks, meetings, etc.. Look at this picture below to understand how I set my priorities.

I do these two tasks in the evening because when I get up from bed the next day, I see my priorities are already prepared for me.

I read daily: Wait, here I am, not reading any e-book. I read only paper books. I have made reading as my daily habit. We think we use the internet, but we are wrong because the internet uses us. That’s why I read paper books. Because to do a single productive work on the internet, we engage with several unproductive works.

Doing exercise daily: Doing exercise daily, but not more than 15 minutes. It is enough, I think, to turn this into a habit. I believe something is better than nothing. So, I do exercise daily for fifteen minutes in the morning.

Talking Less: It may sound funny. But it is the biggest problem for me. I talk much more unnecessarily. I feel somewhere, it affects my personality. People underestimate and give less value. So, I talk when it is needed.

Worrying Less: A Doctor opened my eyes a few days ago. I went to that doctor for my mother’s health check-up. The doctor suggested a few tests. I did, and then I got a shock. One of the reports was positive.

During endoscopy, the Doctor did a bacteria test named the H-Pylori test. It was positive. I was worried too much because this bacteria causes Ulcer. I lost my patience.

There, the Doctor shouted at me. Then the Doctor said, relax. Here, I learn two things from the Doctor. One, worrying too much unnecessarily is a bad habit. The doctor said 80% of people have this H-Pylori bacteria problem. So you don’t need to worry.

The doctor also said we are doctors. We are here to help you. After sacrificing so many years, we are practicing. So, every patient should believe in us, not on the Internet. I also learned that always we should not depend on the Internet. So, it’s a value I have added that I will not worry unnecessarily.

Summarizing these techniques I have learned. I am talking less, worrying less, exercising daily, journaling my day, setting priorities, and tracking my time daily.

Now I am coming on my request as I said. I am requesting everyone to please read this book at least for one time. Then you can see the changes in your life.
