Google builds an AI infrastructure for Developers
Google launched Google AI Studio
How they want to become World’s Number One in AI again

Google was really kicked in the nuts by Microsoft when they presented their ChatBot ChatGPT followed by a quick integration into its M365 and Azure services. Now, they want to catch up with Microsoft and OpenAI.
Therefore, Google has lately launched and promoted Gemini, an extremely powerful language model that is intended to compete with GPT-4 & Co. But now, it seems that the impressive AI demo was an almost complete fake[1] — I also wrote an article about it. But now, Google puts their words into action and has also announced Google AI Studio[2][3].
With these new tools, Google wants to finally keep up with Microsoft and OpenAI in the AI race. In addition to its new Gemini model, Google is also focusing on lower prices[2][3].
Google now wants to further strengthen its AI infrastructure and expand its offering for external developers, therefore Gemini will be available to developers and customers on the Vertex AI and Google Studio platforms. Google wants to go the same way which Microsoft and OpenAI are going, where they announced a developer platform that customers can use to build their own AI applications.

In the future, users will be able to build small AI applications such as AI-based searches or AI-generated image descriptions themselves at a low price via the Google Vertex platform. Google also announced Imagen2, a new AI image model, and a partnership with the start-up Mistral. The french company is one of the biggest AI hopefuls in Europe and presented its second model this week[1][2].
Developers will also have access to 130 AI models via the Google Studio platform. In addition to Gemini, these will include numerous other Google systems, as well as freely accessible models such as those from Mistral[2][3].
Is this move going to make Google the number one in AI again? Well, I guess, we will see but at least they came up with something and plan on how to integrate their AI capabilities into their services and provide companies and developers new functionalities.
